The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) hosted its annual flagship event, the Manufacturing Day Summit 2025, bringing together industry leaders and policymakers to discuss the future direction of Singapore's manufacturing sector.
As Singapore celebrates its 60th anniversary of independence in 2025, the country is preparing for significant changes in an increasingly complex landscape. The manufacturing sector, which is currently the second-largest contributor to Singapore’s GDP, will remain a key driver of the nation’s economic growth. To sustain its transformation and achieve its goal of becoming a global hub for advanced manufacturing, Singapore must navigate technological disruptions such as AI, while balancing technological advancements with human potential to build a more resilient manufacturing ecosystem.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector now have greater opportunities to learn from and co-create with multinational corporations (MNCs). The Singapore Manufacturing Federation has launched a new platform designed to help local firms prepare for their next stage of growth, with four MNCs already on board.
